Portland, OR — From October 27 to 29, 2025, Reed will host a peer-evaluation team from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) for its Year Seven Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness (EIE).
The purpose of the visit is to fulfill the requirements of accreditation. The EIE report will be submitted to the NWCCU in August and the report will be available on the Reed website prior to the October evaluation visit.
Reed last had its accreditation reaffirmed in 2018. In the current cycle, the Mid-Cycle Evaluation was completed in 2021 and its Year Six Policies, Regulations, and Financial Review (PRFR) report in 2024. Both were accepted by the commission and the institution is in good standing.
The public is invited to provide comments for consideration in the review of Reed’s qualifications for reaccreditation. All comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Comments may be submitted no later than October 17 or mailed to the following address:
