Celebrating Rites of Passage
'Rites of Passage' of is an annual commencement celebration that honors diversity and cultural traditions within an inclusive space, with a focus on student success and community support. Graduating seniors at Reed who identify as a student of color and/or one of the first in their families to graduate from college are celebrated and given a special stole for their commencement regalia. During the ceremony, we also recognize the faculty, staff, family members, and/or friends who have supported our graduates during their journey at Reed.
